Arrival Beijing transfer to hotel.
Visit Tiananmen Square where the Mao’s Mausoleum and the Congress Hall are located, then the Forbidden City with the emperor’s palace in the heart of Beijing (So called because it was off limits for 500 years, covering an area of 250 acres, protected by a 10.7m high wall, marked off by towers at each corner).
Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2 – Beijing
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Great Wall that has been built from 770-475 B.C. – climbing on top on the 2484 miles long Great Wall is really an experience.

Visit the Hutongs, lanes or Alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live, witness the vicissitude of the city by a trishaw.

Day 3 – Beijing / Xining / Lhasa

Transfer to airport for flight to Xining.
Arrival Xining and transfer to visit Kumbum Monastery (Ta Er Si in Chinese) – one of the six great monasteries of the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was built in 1577 on sacred ground – birthplace of Tsong Khapa, founder of the Yellow Hat sect with lunch at local restaurant.
Transfer to train station for overnight train N917 (20h28/21h50+1) or T264 (19h56/21h00) to Lhasa.

Day 4 – Lhasa
Train to Lhasa.
Arrival Lhasa and transfer to hotel.

Day 6 – Lhasa

Visit Jokhang Temple, Tibets most sacred temple, a focal point for pilgrims from all over the country, then stroll on the pilgrims circuit, the Barkhor Street which is around the Jokhang Temple, and then visit Nuns-Monastery Ani Sangkhung.
Lunch at hotel.
Visit Sera Monastery, debating of hundreds of monks in a garden start at 15h00.
Dinner at hotel.

Day 7 – Lhasa / Shigatze

Transfer from hotel in Lhasa for a 05 hours drive to Shigatze (280Km) along the Brahmaputra River, visiting the Dolma Lakhang in Nethang.

Visit Tashilunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama.

Day 8 – Shigatze / Gyantse

Transfer from Shigatze for a 2.5 hours drive to Gyantse (90 Km) with a stop for an hour at the Shalu Monastery included the visit also to the Palkor Chode and Kumbum Chode.

Visit Lonji Terraced Rice Fields and Minority Villages.

If you are interested in large-scale performance, you can ask the guide about the performance expresses the beautiful scenery of the Li River –named Impression – Liu Sanjie. Creatively combines the classical Sanjie Liu's Songs, ethnic groups’ Culture and the fishing lights together,
to reflect the harmonious atmosphere between human beings and the nature. The performance
lasts for 70 minutes and 600 plus actors and actress are involved. The show is optional – please

01. Blackout dates:
Golden week: 01-03 May and 01-07 Oct 2009 and Chinese New year: 26 Jan-01 Feb 2009.
02. All tours to Lhasa not recommend to go in between Mid-Nov to March due to very cold weather.
03. GUIDES: All transfer and tours based on English/German/French speaking guide, but please note that in Lanzhou there are only 2 French speaking guides and in Tibet there are only 3 German speaking guides, so French/German speaking guide in Lanzhou / Tibet are subject to reconfirm. In case we cannot get German (or French speaking) guide we will give you the alternative English.
In Tibet all the guides accompany the guests through the whole tour – no change of guides in between.
04. Train spaces are subject to availability. We are booking soft-sleeper compartments (4-er) for our guest, but we cannot guarantee that everybody can stay in a soft-sleeper. Each train only has 36 soft-sleeper compartments. In case they are fully booked, then the guests will automatically be accommodated in hard-sleeper compartments (6-er) for this one night. We do not have influence on the reservation-system of the train – it is still not working properly. (For those who want to occupy one cabin for his/their own, there is a surcharge of USD 265.00/empty bed has to pay).
05. All guest need a Tibet permit before go to Lhasa, Please forward with the booking: China visa copy and passport copy, the costs of the permit is included.
06. We recommend bookings for Tibet 3 months in advance or longer - the train ticket and Tibetan guide in Lhasa is subject to availability. For short notice bookings will be hard to get train tickets
07. In Longshen, Ping’An is a guesthouse and only provided simple breakfast. And guest should not really take heavy luggage up there – an overnight kit is enough – it is only for 1 night. And they again need comfortable walking shoes. If pax need to carry big luggage in Longshen, can hire a local people to carry, it costs USD3/baggage.

09. For Silver Cave, it is 2km long and it takes approx 2 hours to do the cave-tour. Guests need comfortable walking shoes.
10. The best season to Longshen is Jul to Dec, Mar to Apr. May-Jun is raining season, Jan-Feb’s temperate can be down to 03-04 degree up at the mountain.
11. Surcharge of Yangshuo hotel will be applied during Golden weeks and new years (26.Jan-1.Feb 09, 1-7 May and 1-7 Oct).
