Day 1 – Beijing
Arrival Beijing transfer to hotel.

Visit Tiananmen Square where the Mao’s Mausoleum and the Congress Hall are located, then the Forbidden City with the emperor’s palace in the heart of Beijing (So called because it was off limits for 500 years, covering an area of 250 acres, protected by a 10.7m high wall, marked off by towers at each corner).

Day 2 – Beijing / Urumqi / Kashgar
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Great Wall (Juyong Pass Sector) with lunch, that has been built from 770-475 B.C.
Transfer to airport for flight CZ910 (1440/1820) to Urumqi and connect flight CZ6801 (2030/2215) to Kashgar.
Arrival Kashgar transfer to hotel.

Day 3 – Kashgar
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Kalakuli Lake, an incredible beautiful lake on the Pamirs plateau at 4500m high.
Lunch at restaurant on the lakeside.

Day 4 – Kashgar / Urumqi
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit the famous Sunday Bazaar – the biggest Bazaar in the Middle East Asia, you can watch hundreds of donkey carts, horse riders, pedestrians arriving to do their trading. Tour ends at a livestock market.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the old town, Id Kha Mosque, which is very different to the Chinese-style mosques, you can see a strong influence from Pakistan, then to visit Abakh Hoja Tomb in the east of the oasis that looks like a multicoloured Mini Taj Mahal.
Dinner at local restaurant.
Transfer to airport for evening flight to Urumqi.
Arrival Urumqi transfer to hotel.

Day 5 – Urumqi / Turpan
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Xinjiang Museum and Red Hill with lunch at local restaurant.
Coach to Turpan – a desert oasis, the lowest and hottest spot in China, visit to Karez Well, an underground irrigation system created by the local people to improve the arid land.
Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 6 – Turpan / Dunhuang
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Flaming Mountain, Bezeklik Thousand-Buddha Caves and ancient city of Gaochang, the capital of the Uighurs when they moved inton the Xinjiang region from Mongolia in the 9th century.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the Ruins of Ancient City Jiaohe from Han Dynasty, the 44m high Emin Minaret, we will also pay a visit to a Uygur family.
Dinner at local restaurant, afterwards enjoy a traditional Uygur performance.
Transfer to train station for overnight train on air-con express train N950 (2201/0841) to Dunhuang.
Overnight on train.

Day 7 – Dunhuang
Arrival Dunhuang and transfer to hotel.
Lunch at hotel.
Visit White Horse Pagoda, Folklore Museum, Singing Sand Dunes and the Crescent Moon Lake, enjoy a camel ride up to the top of the dunes to have a breathtaking view back to the rolling desert sands.
Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 8 – Dunhuang / Xian
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Mogao Caves which are the most impressive and best preserved example of a Buddhist cave and are the highlight of a visit to Dunhuang.

Transfer to airport for flight CZ 6895 (15h10/17h30) to Xian.
Arrival Xian transfer to hotel.
Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 9 – Xian
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Terracotta Warriors with more than 6000 life-sized terracotta figures of soldiers and horses in perfect battle array are showing the superb sculptural art of that time. Lunch at local restaurant. On the way back to the city and visit Wild Goose Pagoda.
Evening Tang Dynasty Show with artists that are dressed in traditional Tang Costumes and perform dances of Tang Dynasty and with dinner.

Day 10 – Xian / Beijing

Visit Stele Forest, City Wall, Grand Mosque, if time permits, we can visit a big free market of Chinese medicinal herbs, there are thousands of herbs/ leaves/ plant roots/ tree Corsican.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Transfer to airport for flight to Beijing.
Arrival Beijing transfer to hotel.
