Visit Temple of Heaven, a praying and sacrificial place of the Ming and Qing Emperors.

Day 2 – Beijing
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Great Wall (Badaling), that has been built from 770-475 B.C. – climbing on top on the 2484 miles long Great Wall is really an experience.
Afterwards the Summer Palace, the summer-residence of the former emperors with one of the biggest and best preserved gardens in China and visit a pearl factory and enjoy a 45 minutes Foot Massage.

Day 3 – Beijing
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Tiananmen Square where the Mao’s Mausoleum and the Congress Hall are located, then the Forbidden City with the emperor’s palace in the heart of Beijing (So called because it was off limits for 500 years, covering an area of 250 acres, protected by a 10.7m high wall, marked off by towers at each corner).
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the Hutongs, lanes or Alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live, witness the vicissitude of the city by a trishaw.

Day 4 – Beijing / Xian

Transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Xian.
Arrival Xian.

Visit City Wall and Grand Mosque. If time permits, we can visit a big free market of Chinese medicinal herbs, there are thousands of herbs/ leaves/ Plant roots/ tree Corsican. Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 5 – Xian
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Terracotta Warriors with more than 6000 life-sized terracotta figures of soldiers and horses in perfect battle array are showing the superb sculptural art of that time. Lunch at local restaurant. On the way back to the city and visit Wild Goose Pagoda.
Evening Tang Dynasty Show with artists that are dressed in traditional Tang Costumes and perform dances of Tang Dynasty.

Day 6 – Xian / Kunming

Transfer to airport for flight to Kunming.
Arrival Kunming.

Day 7 – Kunming / Dali

Visit Cangshan MT-cable up and down or walk down (about 1.5 hrs).

Day 9 – Dali / Lijiang

3 hours coach tour to Lijiang and visit Bai minority villages.

Coach excursion tour to the Maoniuping (Yak Meadow) of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, then visit Baisha Naxi minority village.

Visit Black Dragon Pond, Dongba Research institute to enjoy the Naxi ancient music.

Day 11 – Lijiang / Zhongdian (Shangri-La)

Excursion coach tour from Lijiang to Zhongdian (Shangri-La) –– a town with a very Tibetan atmosphere. It is situated 198km north of Lijiang at 3200m altitudes and very close to the Tibetan border, known as little Tibet. Coach drive about 70km to the first stop / Shigu (Stone Drum Village) where you can see the geographically significant first Bend of the Yangtze River, then after 70km, we can see the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Arrival Zhongdian (Shangri-La) and transfer to hotel.
Rest of the day free for acclimatization
We recommend a stroll into the old city centre in the evening
to experience a very authentic Tibetan atmosphere.
