Day 1 – Beijing
Arrival Beijing transfer to hotel.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit Temple of Heaven, a praying and sacrificial place of the Ming and Qing Emperors.
Visit Flea Market.
Meal: Lunch.

Day 2 – Beijing
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day visit Great Wall (Badaling), that has been built from 770-475 B.C. – climbing on top on the 2484 miles long Great Wall is really an experience. Afterwards the Summer Palace, the summer-residence of the former emperors with one of the biggest and best preserved gardens in China and visit a pearl factory and enjoy a 45 minutes Foot Massage.

Day 3 – Beijing
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Tiananmen Square where the Mao’s Mausoleum and the Congress Hall are located, then the Forbidden City with the emperor’s palace in the heart of Beijing (So called because it was off limits for 500 years, covering an area of 250 acres, protected by a 10.7m high wall, marked off by towers at each corner).
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the Hutongs, lanes or Alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live, witness the vicissitude of the city by a trishaw.
Peking Duck Dinner at local Restaurant.
Transfer to train station for train K705 (23h24/06h30) to Datong.
Overnight on train.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4 – Datong
Arrival Datong and transfer to hotel.
Breakfast at hotel.
Free for leisure.

Visit Hanging Temple, built 1400 years old, hosts worship for the Taoist, Confucians and Buddhists, the temple is hung on the middle of the cliff and is still in perfect conditions after so many years, visit Yongang-Grotte, with 252 caves and 51000 statues, the grottoes represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave are in China in the 5th and 6th centuries. The Five Caves created by
Tan Yao, with their strict unity of layout and design, constitute a classical masterpiece of the first
peak of Chinese Buddhist art, and then visit Huayan Temple with the nine dragon wall.

Day 5 – Datong / Wutai Shan
Breakfast at hotel.
Depart hotel and transfer to Wu Tai Shan (about 4 hours), coach up to 2200M to visit the only and eldest Yingxian Wooden-Pagoda, is situated in western Yingxian County, it is shaped in an octagon and is 67.13M high and 30M in diameter at the bottom. A Liao Dynasty structure, it was built in 1056. On each story of the tower is displayed calligraphy. The tower offers valuable information for the research of calligraphic arts and the construction of the wooden tower.

Day 6 – Wutai Shan

Full day visit Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Longquan Temple, Wuye Temple and the Pushading Peak.

Day 7 – Wutai Shan / Taiyuan

Coach back down from Wutai Shan then to Shanxi to visit Taiyuan (about 3.5 hours).

Day 8 – Taiyuan
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Yingze Dajie, the market where all the wholesaler bargaing for the sales, and Museum of Shanxi Province (the old Confucius temple), then visit Jinci Temple, a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscapes.
Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 9 – Taiyuan / Pingyao
Breakfast at hotel.
Coach to Pingyao (about 2 hours), on arrival visit the Qiao Family, with the area of 8724 square meter, the courtyard was the house of the richest family Qiao in Qing Dynasty in China, though 2 centuries has bee passed, it still keeps its original splendor in architectural style.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit City Wall.

Day 10 – Pingyao

Visit Confucius temple and Tao’s Monastery.

Day 11 – Pingyao / Taiyuan / Xian

Transfer back to Taiyuan, on the way stop over at the Shuanglin Temple, with its hanzeitilchen sculpture and visit Schnaps Brennerei.
Arrival Taiyuan.
Transfer to train station for overnight train 2535 (17h50/0656) to Xian.
Overnight on train.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch.

Day 12 – Xian
Arrival Xian and transfer to hotel.
Breakfast at hotel.
Full Day visit Terracotta Warriors with more than 6000 life-sized terracotta figures of soldiers and horses in perfect battle array are showing the superb sculptural art of that time, lunch at local restaurant. Visit Wild Goose Pagoda and Old City Wall.

Day 13 – Xian / Luoyang

2 hours ride to Huashan, and then take the cable car up to the northern mountain top with 3 hours visit Shengmu Temple and Laojun Temple with lunch.
Bus down through Huashan to Luoyang (about 4 hours).
Arrival Luoyang and transfer to hotel.

Transfer to Zhengzhou (about 2 hours) for flight to Shanghai.

Day 16 – Shanghai
